On June 19, 2024, Doctors Care will host a fundraising luncheon in honor of its resiliency through the pandemic and its aftermath and of CEO Bebe Kleinman’s 25th year with the organization. The event will be held at the Wellshire Inn and run from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Doctors Care plans to show videos throughout the event that speak to its longevity, including interviews with patients and clients who have utilized our services for over a decade. In addition, family members of Bebe Kleinman’s will speak, and there will be a special toast to her 25 years of dedication to affordable and accessible healthcare. Attendees will include long-time patients and clients; donors; board of directors; staff members; volunteers; and sponsor attendees.

Bebe Kleinman, MNM

Bebe Kleinman has dedicated her life to giving back to her community. For almost 40 years, Bebe has worked in the nonprofit sector, focusing on serving children and families in need. She has been the CEO of Doctors Care since 1999 and is passionate about supporting a more just society for all community members.

Bebe continues looking for innovative solutions to strengthen the nonprofit sector and ensure everyone has their basic needs met to live happy, productive lives. In 1996, Bebe was selected as a Colorado Trust Fellow and received a Master’s in Nonprofit Management from Regis University. Her past experiences include Program Director for The Women’s Foundation of Colorado, Director of Development for The  Gathering Place, and Executive Director for Douglas County Senior Services.

Bebe lends her expertise and progressive voice across many organizations in the Tri-City region. She currently sits on multiple boards of directors, all with a mission to provide those in need with basic necessities, such as housing and healthcare. In 2023, she was invited to sit on Arapahoe County’s Public Health board and continues to play a significant role as a board member of the Colorado Access Governing Council, South Metro Community Foundation, and Colorado Safety Net Collaborative – to name a few.

Your Support Makes a Difference

Providing access to health care for Colorado’s most vulnerable populations is a community effort. When we partner with multiple organizations, we ensure patients have access to medical and non-medical needs, including food, housing, mental health services, and transportation. In addition, partnerships with Doctors Care provide an increased presence for all involved. The Building a Lasting Legacy event is more than a decadent lunch at a beautiful venue. It creates an opportunity for our sponsors to celebrate Doctors Care's strides toward an equitable healthcare system by funding professional development for staff and direct services for patients and clients as well as the event. Doctors Care’s conservative budget for this event allows for additional dollars to go toward the mission, which begins with ensuring staff can continue their education, increasing the quality of care delivered. It also provides a mechanism for care to be uninterrupted by funding additional resources for patients and clients, such as the cost of a share-ride so they can make their appointment, King Soopers gift cards for immediate food security, language interpretation services, and more.
